Soulmates and Twin Flames are all Karmic Connections
Karmic connections are relationships that we have which teach us a valuable lesson. Unresolved karma is the main theme in these type of relationships. The purpose of the relationship is more than just to be in love, or to feel love. Instead these relationships help us clear up past karma.
Escapism is only temporary
Most people don’t remember their past lives. Regardless, we’ve accumulated a lot of karma. Most karma is created from our relationships. Since we can’t deal with all karma in one relationship, it carries onto the next relationship and so forth. So escapism is only a temporary and dimensional factor. Eventually, we have to deal with our past actions. Karmic connections are one of the ways that we deal with unresolved karma.
Karmic connections
At first, we may mistaken these relationships as true love. And very often, love is a transactional force in the relationship. But there is usually a sacred connection that is lacking. This is because there is too much unresolved issues that need to be met first. By the time those issues are resolved, you’re ready to move on to something else. This is a karmic relationship.
Soulmate relationships
A soulmate is an interpersonal relationship that is connected through nostalgia. There’s a sense of familiarity before even getting to know a person. Communication can be cut off between soulmates for a period of time. But when it’s time to reunite or reconnect, there’s a sense of comfortability and understanding. You can stop speaking with a soulmate for a while and reconnect with them comfortably. It’s almost as if throughout the distance, you’re still in connection. Many long distance relationships are soulmates, because of that beneficial factor in feeling connected while being far apart.
Ironically, soulmates are karmic relationships too. The difference is the quality of the relationship. Soulmates are usually not built upon codependency, unlike karmic connections. Karmic connections bring out the worst of our personalities, while soulmates bring out the best of our personalities. This is why soulmate relationships are more preferred. They allow us to experience both extremes of ourselves and others.
Soulmates usually have an instant connection. There is an obvious instinctual bond. The karma in most soulmate relationships are the lack of boundaries. Other people and situations can be an interference. I often like to think that soulmates are relationships that we can expect to continue without actively maintaining. The relationship never really ends, despite how it may seem in reality.
Soulmate relationships often have a theme of likeminded interest that set the foundation for the relationship. Unlike karmic connections which are initiated more from lower desires, such as physical attraction, pleasure and fear.
Twin flame relationships
A soulmate is often misunderstood as being a twin flame relationship, but they are different. Similar to soulmates, twin flame relationships also bring out the worst and best characteristics of our personality. However, twin flame relationships are more difficult because there are usually a lot of challenges that the relationship has to get through first:
- Confusion
Unlike soulmates, twin flames usually don’t feel an instinctual connection. Instead, there is a strong sense of intensity and confusion that exists. This can either bring the two people together, or it can keep them apart.
2. Acceptance
Most twin flame relationships have an unorthodox theme to them, because these relationships are less concerned with societal norms.
3. Timing
There is a level of maturity and an expectation of freedom in twin flame relationships. Usually one person, or both are not quite ready.
4. Runner chaser theme
Twin flame relationships relationships can be unique or unconventional. Not all, but many Interracial relationships are twin flames, while others are only karmic connections. A lot of twin flame relationships have a significant age difference, or maybe grew up in completely different environments. Regardless, there is usually something uniquely different between the two. This usually causes one person to be more intrigued, while the other more afraid. That’s the runner-chaser dynamic.
There are also many pros in being in a twin flame relationship. Getting through challenges is one of the ways to maintain the spark. This is why it takes a good level of maturity to have a twin flame relationship, because most people wouldn’t tolerate so much challenges in a relationship. We face enough stress in other aspects of our day-to-day lives. Who would want to deal with more drama in relationships? This is why a certain level of maturity is necessary for twin flames to work out. The pros of twin flame are usually related to the spiritual journey. There is a constant reminder of an identity that you may feel disconnected from. Twin flame relationships may poke at your insecurities, but there’s always a blessing behind it. If you are mature enough, you understand the reason for the challenges and the benefits outweigh the struggle.
In the end, it doesn’t really matter what type of relationship you are in, as long as there is a strong perception of happiness.
